This woman from Edinburgh, Scotland, UK set this record with the Guinness World Records official examining her and finding her record breaking 720 piercings. It is truly amazing as she broke even her own record when she first set it May of 2000. During her first record attempt in May 2000, Guinness World Records officials saw 462 piercings all over her body. But everybody stood amazed as she upped the ante and jumped from 462 to 720 in a matter of months. So on August 9,2001, Elaine Davidson was officially declared as the most pierced woman in the world with 192 of these piercings found in her facial area alone.

Body piercing is not only limited to fashion and coformism or the need to belong. Although others would say that this practice is limited to people who can't do anything with their bodies anymore so they would puncture and cut a part of their body so that they will have the opening to wear a piece of jewelry in it.
